What’s trial funds?

Trial funds is a test funds for investors to start investing on Mocasa. You can use the € 5000 trial funds to create a portfolio and generate interest income from here. All the interest made from trial funds is available to withdraw or reinvest.

Who can invest on Mocasa?

Any natural person above 18 years old or legal entity who, in both cases, has a current bank account opened in EU or United Kingdom can invest on Mocasa.

How to start investing on Mocasa?

You can start by registering an account by simply filling in your information. Once we have confirmed your identity, you can add funds to your Mocasa account and start creating a portfolio.If you’re not sure how much you’d like to start investing, Mocasa also offers € 5000 trial funds for you to go through the whole investing process for free! What’s more, you can take away all the interest generated by the trial funds. Invest right away!

Citizens of which countries can become investors on Mocasa?

Currently, we accept investors from any country in the EU Union such as Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Denmark, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, France, Croatia, Czech Republic, Sweden and Estonia, as well as United Kingdom.

Can a company invest on Mocasa?

Yes, a company can invest on Mocasa. Just select the corporation entrance while you’re registering, and provide certain information like registration number, and the identity information of the representative.

Is there any limitation of the investment amount on the platform?

Yes, the minimum amount to start investing is € 10; the maximum amount invested on the platform is € 15 000 monthly.

How to add funds to my Mocasa account?

Transfer your desired amount of money to Mocasa’s bank account from your bank account. You can complete the transaction via your online bank, in bank branches or other ways that support money transfer.

What fees will be charged during the investment?

Investing on Mocasa is free of charge. There are no fees for creating an account, adding funds, investing or withdrawing money.

Can I add funds from a bank account that is not in my name?

No. Deposits are only accepted from accounts in the same name as the Mocasa investor account, as required by law.

What if I entered incorrect payment details while transferring money to Mocasa account?

Please contact us at support@mocasa.eu regarding the issue as soon as possible, so our customer service can help.

Is there any limitation to withdraw money to my bank account?

You can withdraw available electronic money on your account anytime, but the minimum amount to withdraw each time is € 20. There’s no limitation on the maximum amount.

How to change the bank account which I want to withdraw money to?

First of all, you need to make sure that the bank account to which you want to withdraw money is opened in your name. This precaution is to protect our investors and comply with anti-money laundering requirements. The quick way to change your designated bank account on Mocasa is to transfer at least one euro cent from your new designated bank account so we can add your new bank account to your profile on Mocasa, thereafter you can choose any of your accounts while withdrawing.

How long does it take to withdraw money to my bank account?

Usually, it takes 1-3 business days for you to receive the money counting from the day you submit the withdraw request on Mocasa.

How to contact customer service?

What does the “period of repayment range” stand for?

The “period of repayment range” means how many days remaining before the loan is fully repaid. By sliding that bar, you can decide how long you want to invest in each loan within the portfolio you created. You can always create a new portfolio to diversify your investment strategy.

Can I cancel my investment if I don’t want to invest anymore?

You can’t cancel your investment, but you can choose to sell the loans until other investors repurchase them.

If I stopped my portfolios, will I still get my principal back immediately?

If you paused your portfolios, it won’t affect the current investments. You’ll get back your principal money along with interest after the loan is fully repaid. You won’t suffer any interest lost.

In what currency can the investor deposit?

Currently, investor can only add funds in Euro on Mocasa.

In what currency does the investor receive repayments?

Investors invest and receive payments in Euro only.

If the loan is repaid before the maturity date, will I lose my interest?

The interest that you will be entitled to receive is calculated until the date the loan is fully repaid.

What is 30-day buyback guarantee?

In cases where the borrower delays de repayment of the loan for over 30 days, the loan originator will exercise the buyback obligations by repurchasing the loan Claim right from the investor and repaying the investor the remaining principal amount and accrued interest calculated until the day of buyback.

Does the investor have access to information about the borrower?

Some information about the borrower is available to investors, such as loan terms, size, as well as the resident country. In the meantime, the borrower’s personal information is a matter of confidentiality and shall not be disclosed to investors .

What regulations govern activities of Mocasa?

Mocasa is regulated by the laws and regulations of the Republic of Estonia.

How can I verify the legality and legitimacy of Mocasa’s activity?

Mocasa Investment OĂś is a company registered under the law of the Republic of Estonia, the information about the company can be obtained from the court register of the Republic of Estonia.

What happens to my outstanding amount if the loan originator terminates its activity?

If a loan originator become bankrupt or become insolvent, Mocasa platform will act as trustee of the investor and will take control over the receivables. Please be notified that no matter what happened to your loan originator, it won’t affect the terms of Assignment Agreement. You can find more related information in your concluded Assignment Agreement.

How is income taxed on Mocasa?

Mocasa doesn’t withhold any tax from investor’s income, please consult the competent tax authority or a tax advisor for more specific information.

How can I close my account?

You can write to support@mocasa.eu to request to close your account anytime. We will close your account as requested after you don’t own any Claim served by Mocasa anymore and have no outstanding payment liability to Mocasa or to any other party. You can read more about this in Section 12 of the User Agreement.

What happens if Mocasa terminates its activity?

Insolvency of Mocasa shall not affect the legal relations between you and the loan originator according to the Assignment Agreement concluded. In case of Mocasa insolvency, Mocasa shall take all the necessary steps so that a third party takes over the management of all Claims arising from the Platform.
